I know..I know ...I can't keep up with this thing..

Well it has been a busy year already. Cassidy and Collin have been doing softball and baseball, which has taken up 3-4 days per week. Cassidy was chosen to play in the All Stars game for softball, we were very proud of her. She has been helping a lot with Lane. Of course she does still do her teenage stuff movies..mall..phone etc. Collin has been at Camp Peep and Grandmas for the past 2 weeks (he doesnt like to stay home with Cassidy during the day) teenager vs. 7 year old, I can't say I blame him! Lane is growing and changing everyday, he is starting to crawl and definately has his own personality, and his hair is still...red! its beautiful though and I hope it doesn't change. All in all things are going well.. still trying to adjust and get everyone on a schedule which is kind of difficult when there are 3 kids each 7 years apart with their own agenda, but we will get it!!

a few pictures of Cassidy at All Star game and Lane just being Lane!

I took Lane to the Doctor on Thursday. Above is a picture at the doctor's office while we were waiting for her to come in and give him the dreaded shots! Below is the picture of him AFTEr he got his shots! soo sad!! I have always hated that part of mothering. I hate needles anyway and I really hate watching my babies get them. He weighs in at 15 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. He really is getting big!! Soon if he is going to want to go anywhere with me, he is going to have to learn how to walk.

Other family news: Cameron will be graduating in December (on hands and knees thankig GOD), he has one more semester and thats it. We are very excited. After he finishes, I will continue where I left off for my teaching degree. Its just too hard for both of us to go at the same time with 3 kids to take care of as well as the normal household things. Cassidy stays busy reading, texting, talking, internetting and ipoding. Luckily softball has started, a sign that spring is here. Collin is reading quite a bit lately. He also started baseball for his second year and seems to be enjoying it. Granny E and Poppy J will be here in the next few weeks so we are pretty excited about that and can't wait for them to get here. Other than that, life kind of rolls as normal!! Thesse days I am pretty grateful for that!
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Its been awhile...

Things here have been very busy! Busy like running in place. We go and go without actually going anywhere. Lane is doing much better than he was. He isn't so fussy anymore. He started eating baby food a few weeks ago and it seems to really help satisfy him. I did finally go back to work at the end of January. Oh how I wish to be a housewife (clicking my heels together 3 times). There just are not enough hours in the day. Lane goes to work with me, which I feel very lucky to be able to do that. I could not imagine leaving him everyday right now. Of course Peepaw loves it, Lane seems to keep him in a happy mood. We did hire a babysitter to keep Lane at the house 2 days a week. The kids love her. She's a college student at Salisbury majoring in Elementry Education. Having her has been very helpful. Collin is doing great. He had a field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium, which he loved. He brought home A's on his report card and is getting ready to start his 2nd year of baseball. Cassidy is in Baltimore this weekend for her BFF's birthday and she went last weekend to see the play of Todd Sweeny in Pennsylvania. She is a girl about town! She is getting ready to start her 5th year in softball. Cameron is working, going to school and trying to get his boat ready for when Poppy J and E come in April. Me? I am just trying to keep up! However, these are the happiest, chaotic days of my life and I am loving every minute. (ok well at least most of them)

It is getting to be that time of year again and we are really not ready for it. Luckily for Cassidy and Collin that Lane came early. I do not know if I would be able to make a "santa visit" if he would have come on time. My body is finally getting somewhat back to normal, so I am able to get back to my mom and house duties. Hopefully that will mean I will be able to get to Santa duties as well. I do not enjoy shopping and I really do not enjoy Christmas shopping, however this year with all of our blessings, I am looking forward to this Christmas.

It is amazing how much you forget about having a small baby when you have had them before. It is a wonder Cassidy and Collin have turned out so well. All of the kids are doing great! Cassidy has a chorus concert coming up and has been hanging out with her friends, running around to concerts and christmas lights. Collin is just Collin! He loves to just be doing whatever anyone will do with him. He is happiest with his peepaw and both kids love their new role as bigger sister and big brother. Lane has been a great baby, however I havent had a baby that hasnt just been content. Lane only cries when he is hungry and he is starting to stay awake more. We put him in his boppy seat and he just kind of hangs out and looks around in wonder. It is amazing how much joy children can bring to your life. Cassidy keeps me on my toes (she is 14) but what a great young lady she is turning out to be and a very funny person, Collin says things that just keep you laughing and is very smart and Lane has just brought a calm and a new appreciation for life to our house.

Lane has been home for a few days now. He is a great baby, very quiet, so far he only cries when he is hungry. Of course it is still early. To me this is always the easiest time. Everyone has been taking their share of feedings (well for a few minutes anyway). Cameron has been very helpful, he does bottles and has had to do a few doody diapers. Collin has been swayed by the "power of cuteness" he loves his new brother and Cassidy has gotten pretty good at making bottles for me as well. There really are no words to explain this gift we have received.

Cameron and I got great news yesterday. Lane will be coming home tomorrow. He had such a problem with feeding and on Sunday we went to the hospital to feed him and he gulped his bottle down in less than 10 minutes. It was like something just clicked and he had been doing this forever. We are so grateful and excited for him to be home with us and the kids!!
